Artist Info: Born in Brooklyn, New York in 1949, Marvin Markman quickly realized that this environment was not conducive to his creative process. Seeking vibrancy and an inspirational color palette, Markman settled in Miami, Florida. Thanks in part to manager and promoter Franklin Goldman, who believed in Markman’s talent from the onset of his career, small charity art promotions established the artist’s position as a canonical Florida painter. Today, Markman is considered one of Miami’s most successful artists. Markman currently owns two galleries representing his work in both Miami and Aventura, Florida.
